our projects

Smith Residence

Our brief was to modify the 1960's house to incorporate a Hamptons styled Master Bedroom Suite, a back deck and an update to the landscape. The master bedroom suite included a large bedroom with ensuite and large walk-in robe. The deck was constructed, using eco decking boards and a vertical timber 'skirt' was constructed around the base of the new extension to hide the storage under the house. A landscape masterplan was developed to allow for a staged construction and was inkeeping with the interior Hamptons styling.

The landscape included a new gazebo to house the family spa. It was constructed on the existing slab where the shed once stood. The back boundary wall was painted due to it being a compilation of differing materials from multiple neighbouring boundaries., The existing Lilly Pilly trees were retained and protected, and the canopies were trimmed and lifted.  The planting palette consists of scented species which included Magnolias and Gardenias. The flowering colour scheme was predominantly white with lush rich green textures.
